Two Things…
First, I’d just like to share this amazing product from ThinkGeek: a portable video game emulator.

This little hand-held beauty packs 4GB of space (with an SD upgrade slot) preloaded with emulators for the NES, SNES, Gameboy Advanced, Sega Genesis and Neo Geo. It has nearly a 3″ screen, built-in speakers and TV Output. It can even play an assortment of music and video files. All you have to do is load your ROMs or other media content and enjoy. All for $100. Shibby!
Second – and this more of a thought than anything to report – but I was looking at the price of PS3 controllers today (still $60 unfortunately) and came up with an idea. Could you take the gyroscopic features of a PS3 controller or Wii-mote and incorporate them into a sort of glove deaf people could wear and use to communicate with those who don’t know sign language? Basically, you’d have a glove hooked up to a device that would process the movements of each finger and the hand(s) into words, which could then be turned into audio and played through a speaker. This might enable more freedom for certain individuals (not having the need for a translator). It’s an interesting concept… one I hope that’s already in the works.
