The Start of A New Day
Falling Off The Monkey Bars is now up and operational… once again.
Part of me has missed the blogosphere over the past few months. At times it seemed trivial writing down what maybe one or two people would randomly read. However, one thing blogging did was it kept me, for the most part, informed in various areas. Whether it was politics, movies, technology – I was always looking for the next intriguing story to share (along with my thoughts).
Feeling out of touch with what’s been going on, I decided to relaunch Falling Off The Monkey Bars (FOTMB) – but with a twist.
One of the things I noticed that was difficult with the previous incarnation of FOTMB was that since I didn’t have a theme, it was difficult to decide what to post. Half the posts seemed like filler – I was just posting at random to keep the site fresh. As such, my current plan for FOTMB is go with a steady, weekly format. This way, the topics are balanced and focused.
The format for the time being will be:
- “Media” Monday
- “Technology” Tuesday
- “W.T.F.” Wednesday
- “Thirsty” Thursday
- “F*ckin’ Funny” Friday
What exactly will each day entail? Well, if you already don’t have a sinking suspicion from the horrible naming convention used in laying out the direction of FOTMB, you’ll just have to check back each day and see how the site begins to take shape. You’re guaranteed a new post every weekday, but I’m sure I won’t limit myself to that.
Aside from FOTMB, I’ll be working on creating a new site to display my artistic portfolio: Four Letter Acronym Productions (FLAP). If you haven’t already, check out some of my handiwork on the index page for leecarver.com by clicking here.
As always, I’m interested to get your feedback on aesthetics, topics, etc. If you have some ideas or some helpful pointers, feel free to send me an e-mail at: lee@leecarver.com.
Let the posts begin!
